Shenzhen, 2 ago – A metrópole de Shenzhen, no sul da China, permite desde esta segunda-feira que veículos totalmente autônomos trafeguem em ruas e avenidas determinadas pela regulamentação local sobre veículos inteligentes e conectados à internet que entrou em vigor.
Agora, automóveis totalmente autônomos sem motoristas podem rodar em estradas em áreas designadas pelo departamento local de gerenciamento de tráfego.
O regulamento também estabelece regras sobre responsabilidade em acidentes que envolvam veículos autônomos com ou sem motoristas.
Na segunda-feira, a start-up de condução autônoma com sede em Shenzhen DeepRoute.ai realizou testes rodoviários no centro da cidade. Um carro sem motorista da empresa terminou uma viagem de 9,6 km em cerca de meia hora.
Maxwell Zhou, diretor executivo da DeepRoute.ai, disse que a nova regulamentação ajudaria as empresas autônomas de condução a melhorar seus níveis de tecnologia e a acelerar a comercialização da condução autônoma.
A empresa otimizou ainda mais o algoritmo e reimplantou a estratégia de segurança para testes rodoviários, disse Zhou.
