China avança para aderir ao Acordo de Parceria da Economia Digital, diz Ministério do Comércio

The sixth China-Arab States Expo opened Thursday in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The four-day event draws the participation of guests from more than 50 countries such as Saudi Arabia and Mauritania. This year's expo features trade fairs and forums on trade and investment, modern agriculture, cross-border trade, cultural tourism, health, water resources utilization, and meteorological cooperation. First held in 2013, the China-Arab States Expo has become an important platform for China and Arab states to promote pragmatic cooperation and advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. China is now the Arab states' largest trading partner. China-Arab trade volume almost doubled from the 2012 level to 431.4 billion U.S. dollars last year. Beijing – A China e os membros do Acordo de Parceria da Economia Digital (DEPA, na sigla em inglês) realizaram várias rodadas de consultas e alcançaram “progressos positivos”, disse o Ministério do Comércio nesta quinta-feira.
A China apresentou um pedido formal para aderir ao DEPA em novembro de 2021 e um grupo de trabalho foi criado em agosto de 2022 para negociações sobre a adesão da China ao pacto.
A quinta reunião dos negociadores-chefes do grupo de trabalho ocorreu em Auckland, na Nova Zelândia, na terça-feira, durante a qual a China trocou opiniões aprofundadas com Chile, Nova Zelândia, Singapura e República da Coreia sobre o andamento das negociações e tópicos relacionados, disse o porta-voz da pasta, He Yadong, em uma coletiva de imprensa.
A China fará esforços conjuntos com os membros do DEPA em uma tentativa de alcançar novos progressos nas negociações, acrescentou.
