First created in the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), the Beijing Central Axis, or Zhongzhouxian, stretches 7.8 km between the Yongding Gate in the south of the city and the Drum Tower and Bell Tower in the north. Most of the major old-city buildings of Beijing sit along this axis. Chinese authorities have planned to recommend the Beijing Central Axis as China's 2024 world cultural heritage application project. Beijing – A capital chinesa Beijing construirá uma rede de vias verdes que se estenderá por mais de 5 mil quilômetros até 2035, oferecendo aos seus residentes mais espaços verdes de fácil acesso, de acordo com um plano divulgado na quarta-feira.
As vias verdes cobrirão os distritos centrais, planícies e áreas montanhosas de Beijing, segundo o plano divulgado pela Comissão Municipal de Planejamento e Recursos Naturais de Beijing.
De acordo com o plano, mais de 2 mil quilômetros de vias verdes em nível municipal estarão disponíveis até 2035, conectando mais de 5 mil áreas residenciais, cerca de 780 aldeias, mais de 460 atrações turísticas e parques e cerca de 460 recursos históricos e culturais, entre outros locais.
Beijing lançou o planejamento e a construção de vias verdes desde 2013. Atualmente, cerca de 1.465 quilômetros de vias verdes foram construídos na cidade, restaurando e integrando recursos ecológicos ao longo das linhas.
