Xi pede que mecanismos de OCS e BRICS desempenhem papéis maiores
Beijing, 4 fev – O presidente chinês, Xi Jinping, pediu nesta sexta-feira à China e à Rússia que vejam o desenvolvimento da Organização de Cooperação de Shanghai (OCS) por uma perspectiva estratégica e de longo prazo, sigam na direção certa e melhor salvaguardem a segurança e os interesses comuns de seus estados membros.
Xi deu as declarações durante sua conversa com o presidente russo, Vladimir Putin, em Beijing.
Saudando o extraordinário curso de desenvolvimento da OCS nos últimos 20 anos, Xi destacou que a organização se tornou uma importante força construtiva na comunidade internacional.
A China está pronta para trabalhar com a Rússia para permitir que o mecanismo de cooperação do BRICS desempenhe um papel maior na defesa do multilateralismo, em fortalecer a cooperação antipandêmica e promover a recuperação econômica, e dê uma maior contribuição ao desenvolvimento global ao mesmo tempo em que viabiliza o desenvolvimento dos cinco países do bloco, explicou ele.
