The Chang'e-6 lunar probe is scheduled for launch at an appropriate time at the beginning of May, according to the China National Space Administration (CNSA). The combination of the Chang'e-6 lunar probe and the Long March-5 Y8 carrier rocket was transferred vertically on Saturday to the launching area at the Wenchang Space Launch Center in south China's Hainan Province, the CNSA said. After Chang'e 6 lunar probe and the Long March-5 Y8 carrier rocket arrived at the launch site in January and March, respectively, the assembly, testing and other preparations were successively completed. Wenchang, Hainan – O Campo de Lançamento Espacial de Wenchang disse que está pronto para o lançamento da sonda lunar chinesa Chang’e-6.
O campo, localizado na Província de Hainan, no sul do país, realizou na quarta-feira um ensaio final para o lançamento, cobrindo todos os sistemas relevantes de forma abrangente.
O sistema meteorológico do campo reforçou seus processos de monitoramento e análise para garantir um lançamento bem-sucedido.
A combinação da sonda lunar Chang’e-6 e do foguete transportador Longa Marcha-5 Y8 foi transferida verticalmente para a área de lançamento do local no sábado.
A sonda deve coletar amostras do lado distante da Lua, marcando uma missão que será a primeira desse tipo na história da humanidade.
