Beijing (Xinhua) — As importações de carne da China atingiram um recorde histórico nos primeiros três trimestres deste ano, atendendo às crescentes demandas do mercado nacional, divulgou o Ministério do Comércio (MOC).
Entre janeiro e setembro, as importações totais de carne aumentaram 72% anualmente para 7,41 milhões de toneladas, disse Li Chenggang, ministro-adjunto do Comércio, à margem da atual 3ª Exposição Internacional de Importação da China (CIIE).
As importações de carne totalizaram US$ 23,1 bilhões nos primeiros nove meses, um aumento anual de 83%, uma alta histórica, revelou Li na 11ª Conferência Internacional de Carne da China, um dos eventos da CIIE.
A atualização do consumo, o crescimento da população e uma política proativa de importação criarão enormes oportunidades de negócios para os produtores globais de carne no futuro, assinalou Li.
Como o maior produtor, consumidor e importador de carne do mundo, a China superou gradualmente o impacto da peste suína africana e da COVID-19, e a operação geral de seu mercado de carne está estável e melhor do que o esperado, disse Wang Bin, um alto funcionário da pasta, durante a conferência.
A oferta de carne suína da China continuará melhorando e retornando aos níveis normais no segundo semestre de 2021, observou Wang.
