Hong Kong revisará sistema eleitoral por decreto de consolidação, diz chefe do Executivo
Hong Kong, 17 mar (China) — A chefe do Executivo da Região Administrativa Especial de Hong Kong (RAEHK), Carrie Lam, disse nesta terça-feira que o governo da RAEHK revisará o sistema eleitoral local por decreto de consolidação e cooperará plenamente com o Conselho Legislativo (LegCo).
Em uma coletiva de imprensa antes da reunião do Conselho Executivo, Lam disse que várias leis locais serão emendadas para melhorar o sistema eleitoral e que há a necessidade de adotar a forma de decreto de consolidação.
Como três eleições serão realizadas nos próximos 12 meses, Lam disse que o governo criou uma equipe especial para acelerar o trabalho relacionado e irá cooperar plenamente com o LegCo para facilitar a deliberação de leis emendadas após o Comitê Permanente da Assembleia Popular Nacional (APN) concluir a emenda do Anexo I e do Anexo II da Lei Básica da RAEHK.
O Comitê Eleitoral será ampliado para 1.500 e o número de membros do LegCo será elevado para 90 de acordo com a decisão da APN, o que melhorará a representação e a participação do povo de Hong Kong no sistema eleitoral, refletirá a situação real em Hong Kong e garantirá que o comitê possa representar os interesses holísticos em Hong Kong, disse Lam.
